STATION DETAILS

The Sittingbourne climate station was opened on 1st January 1985 and has operated continuously since that date. The site is located in the south-east corner of the town (lat 51'19.9N, long 00'44.7E & OS Grid Ref TQ 9124 6284) and is approximately 23m above mean sea level. Observations are taken at approximately 0900GMT daily.
