These labels come from UK Government climate-risk guidance (CCRA4 / NAP3).
Prepare (2°C) — the warming level the UK should actively plan for. It represents a realistic mid‑century warming level under current global emissions. Local authorities and planners are expected to design for this level of change.
Assess Risks (4°C) — a high-end, low-likelihood scenario used to stress-test critical systems (flood defences, hospitals, power networks, transport). It answers the question: “What if the world warms by 4°C. Can our systems cope?”

Sea Level Rise
